The one content rule: no explicit content

You can post almost anything: your business, how-tos, music, vlogs, events, behind the scenes. The one thing not allowed is explicit content: nudity, sexual content, and graphic gore. Anything sexual involving a minor is reported to the authorities.

Illegal content (for example threats, or someone else's work used without permission) is also removed when it's reported to us, because the law requires it.

How videos and live streams are checked

• Every upload is checked frame by frame across the whole video, plus its title and description, before it goes public. It usually takes a few minutes.
• News, sports, politics, opinions and real events are welcome, from anywhere in the world. A video that may show graphic violence or injury stays up, with a short "may be graphic" cover the viewer taps through.
• Videos with explicit content are blocked. The file is kept for 14 days so you can ask for a second look, then deleted. Anything sexual involving a minor is deleted at once and reported. If the automatic check can't run, our team looks at the video by hand first.
• Live streams are checked every couple of minutes while you're live. A stream with explicit content is stopped, and going live is switched off on that channel.
• Comments, titles and live titles are checked too. Links in comments are removed.
• Anyone can press Report under a video. A video reported by several people is hidden until our team decides.

How creators get paid for views

Every month, half of what Supporters pay ($4.99 a month each), and half of any other B2B Live Social income such as ads and sponsors, goes into a pot for creators. Card fees and refunds come off first. The pot is shared by watch time: a creator who had 10% of all counted minutes that month gets 10% of the pot. There is no fixed rate per view; the rate for each month is shown in Studio.

• Time counts when a real viewer plays a video. One viewer's time on one video counts up to the video's length each day, from 30 seconds (or nearly all of a shorter video).
• Your own plays don't count. Up to 6 hours a day count per viewer, and we limit how much one internet connection can add.
• Our own starter-video channel and test accounts never take part.
• The month closes on the 1st. We check the statement for 2 days, and unusual watch patterns are held for a look. Then pay goes to your own connected Stripe account, from $10. Smaller amounts, or pay waiting for your Stripe account to be ready, carry over to the next month.
• Buying or faking views, bots, or watching your own videos from other accounts means the pay is held or canceled and the channel may be suspended.

Deleting your videos

When you delete a video it leaves B2B Live Social at once. We keep the file for 30 days in case it's needed for a report, a legal request or a mistake, then it's deleted for good. We may keep it longer if the law requires it or it's part of an open report. We never put a video you deleted back on the site.

Ask for a second look

Automatic checks can get it wrong. If your video was blocked by the check, or hidden after reports, open Studio and press Ask for a second look under it. A person on our team watches it again. If it doesn't break the one rule, it goes back up, with its views and comments. You can ask once per video.

Getting paid

Any channel, free or paid, can take tips and offer a monthly membership. Members get a badge next to their comments and can watch your members-only videos. You connect your own Stripe account (free), and the money goes straight to it. You keep 90%; we keep 10%. Stripe's own card fee comes out of your share. Refunds and disputes are handled in your Stripe Dashboard. Members can leave any time; their membership runs to the end of the month they paid for.

Made for kids

If your video is made for children, tick Made for kids when you upload. Those videos have no comments and no shopping buttons, as children's privacy law requires.

Free and paid

Watching, uploading, going live, comments, likes and subscriptions are free for everyone. The limits below only keep video hosting affordable.

Paid plans also add a Book a time, Order or Shop button under your videos that opens your own booking or ordering page, product cards with prices, chapters, and a check mark next to your channel name. See plans.

Ads

The only ads on B2B Live Social are ours: featured spots from real local businesses, always labeled Sponsored. No ads interrupt your videos.

Copyright notices

If a video uses your work without permission, press Report under it and choose copyright, or send a written notice to our copyright contact. The notice needs:

1. Your name, address, phone number and email.
2. The work you own, and the link to the video on B2B Live Social that uses it.
3. A statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorized by you, your agent or the law.
4. A statement that the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you own the right or may act for the owner.
5. Your physical or electronic signature.

We remove the video and tell the channel. If you posted the video and believe it was removed by mistake, you can send a counter-notice to the same contact with your details, the removed video, a statement under penalty of perjury that it was removed by mistake, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your district. Channels that repeatedly post others' work are closed.

Your channel

You keep the rights to what you post. By posting you let us show, stream and share it on B2B Live Social. You can delete your videos at any time from Studio. See also our Terms and Privacy policy.
