Battery run time and range calculator
How long a battery runs a motor or load, and how far you'll go at a given speed.
Results
Run time = battery kWh (volts × amp-hours ÷ 1,000) × usable share × efficiency ÷ power draw. Range = run time × speed. Real power draw changes with load, wind, waves and hills, so leave a margin.
Stop working out one number at a time
A calculator is a quick check. A concept draft works these numbers out together with specs, drawings, a priced parts list, build phases and the rules to check, and updates them all when you change something.
